Instant service history check — reports in minutes
Don't wait days for a dealer to respond. Enter the UK registration above and your service history report arrives by email within minutes.
Find Your Car's Service History Online
Check your car's service history using official UK manufacturer dealership records. Enter a registration number to see every franchised dealer service on file — dates, mileages, and work performed.
Full dealership records for BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen and many more — plus partial coverage for many others. Your card is authorised but not charged unless we find records.
Why this is the fastest way to check service history
Phoning every dealer the car may have visited is slow and often fruitless. We query the manufacturer's central dealer database directly — the same one a main dealer would search if you booked a service today. Results come back in real time.
We also pull DVSA MOT history at the same time, so you get a complete maintenance picture in one report instead of juggling multiple sources.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does an instant service history check take?
Most reports arrive within a few minutes. The lookup itself is real-time — we query manufacturer dealer systems immediately after payment is authorised. Some manufacturers respond more slowly; in rare cases the report can take up to a few hours.
Do I need an account for the instant check?
No. Enter your registration and email above. The report is delivered by email and accessible from the link inside.
What's actually 'instant'?
Vehicle confirmation (DVLA) is instant and free. Manufacturer service history retrieval starts the moment payment is authorised. Most reports are delivered within 1–5 minutes; the upper bound is set by manufacturer system response times we can't control.
What if the lookup is slow?
Reports always arrive — if a manufacturer system is slow we keep retrying. You'll get an email the moment results are ready. If we can't retrieve any records at all, your card is not charged.
Does the speed depend on the brand?
Yes, slightly. Major brands (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW, Ford, Toyota etc.) typically respond fastest. Smaller-volume brands can take longer but still usually deliver within minutes.
How long does the service history check take?
Most reports arrive within 1–2 minutes of payment. We submit the lookup to the manufacturer dealer system as soon as the card is authorised. If the dealer system is slow we hold the order and email you the report when it lands — typically the same hour.
Will the report show services done at independent garages?
No. The manufacturer dealer system only holds records for visits to franchised dealerships. Independent garage services don't appear in the manufacturer database — that's the same gap any main dealer would see if you asked them directly. For independents, look for paper invoices or receipts from the seller.
Can I check service history without a registration?
If you have the 17-character VIN you can run the lookup at /check-service-history-by-vin instead. The VIN route is helpful for imports, vehicles awaiting registration, or auction stock. Otherwise the UK registration (VRM) is the easiest way to identify the vehicle.
What if the car is too old for digital records?
Manufacturer digital service records typically start around 2012. Earlier vehicles may have partial or no electronic records — the warning that appears at checkout flags pre-2012 vehicles. If we can't find any records your card isn't charged.
Is this the same as an HPI check?
No — an HPI check covers stolen markers, write-off categories, outstanding finance, and mileage anomalies. A service history check covers manufacturer dealer service records and DVSA MOT history. Used-car buyers usually want both: the HPI confirms the car is legitimately for sale; the service history confirms it's been maintained.
