About Audi digital service records
Audi is one of the most popular premium brands in the UK. Models like the A3, A4, Q5, and Q7 are widely sold. Audi's digital service record system is comprehensive, covering all franchised dealership visits.

How Audi records service data
Audi's service records run on the Volkswagen Group dealer management system (ELSA / DISS / Audi Workshop System), shared with VW, Skoda, SEAT and Cupra at the data layer. Every franchised UK Audi dealer visit is logged against the VIN with the service date, mileage, the schedule (Fixed or Longlife), specific line items, the dealer code, and any additional work. UK Audi records are reliably digital from roughly 2003 onwards. The myAudi app shows a customer-facing summary of recent services for newer cars but doesn't display the full historical ledger — older entries, recall work and warranty repairs may not surface in the app even when they're held in the dealer system. Audi's central system retains records even when a dealership closes or changes ownership, so service history persists across dealer transitions.
Useful Audi information
Audi service intervals
Audi uses a flexible service schedule with Longlife Servicing — typically every 2 years or up to 19,000 miles for petrol, or every 2 years/19,000 miles for diesel. Fixed servicing is available at annual or 9,500-mile intervals.
Audi models we cover
Full UK Audi range is covered: A1 (8X/GB), A3 (8L/8P/8V/8Y) hatch / saloon / cabriolet, A4 (B6/B7/B8/B9) saloon and Avant estate, A5 coupe / sportback / cabriolet, A6 (C5/C6/C7/C8) saloon / Avant / allroad, A7 sportback, A8 (D3/D4/D5), Q2, Q3 (8U/F3), Q4 e-tron, Q5 (8R/FY), Q7 (4L/4M), Q8 / SQ8 / RS Q8, TT, R8, plus the full RS / S performance line (RS3, RS4, RS6, RS7, S3, S4, S5) and the e-tron / e-tron GT / Q4 e-tron / Q6 e-tron / Q8 e-tron electric range. Coverage is strongest from 2004 onwards. Pre-2003 A4 B5 and A6 C5 may have partial digital records depending on the supplying dealer.
Things to watch when buying a used Audi
Three Audi-specific things to know: First, the Longlife vs Fixed service schedule choice matters a lot — Longlife uses an oil-quality sensor and can stretch services to 18,000-19,000 miles, while Fixed is a hard 9,000-10,000 mile cap. Verify which schedule was used; a Longlife car with three services in 60,000 miles is on-schedule, the same record on a Fixed car is well overdue. Second, quattro models have a Haldex AWD system that needs an oil change every 38,000 miles (or roughly 3 years) — this is the single most-skipped Audi service item at independents and the dealer record is the easiest place to verify it. Third, the 2.0 TFSI petrol (2004-2012, in A4, A5, A6, Q5) had a chain-tensioner / timing-chain issue on early examples — verifiable history of strict oil-service intervals significantly reduces the risk of chain failure.
Why check Audi service history before buying
Audi resale value is closely tied to documented Audi dealer history — particularly for the A3, A4, and Q5 which dominate the used premium market. A documented FSH on an A4 or A6 typically commands a 10-15% trade-in premium over partial-history equivalents. For diesels (2.0 TDI, 3.0 TDI) verify DPF and AdBlue (post-2016 Euro 6) entries appear in records. S-tronic / DSG automatic transmissions need a fluid change at roughly 40,000 miles — missing this is one of the most common causes of expensive gearbox failure on second-hand examples. quattro buyers should confirm Haldex AWD oil-service entries appear at the right intervals.

Audi's own dealer network can sometimes print service history at a branch if you bring ownership documents, but there's no public Audi portal that returns the full dealer record online. Read our free Audi guide for every route — and where the gaps are.

FAQ
Audi service history FAQs
How do I check Audi service history?
Enter the UK registration of the Audi into the form above. We query the official Audi dealer system and return every electronically logged service entry — date, mileage, work performed and dealership. £9.99 — your card is authorised but not charged unless we find records.
Coverage level for Audi
Audi is in our Full Service History tier. Complete service records from manufacturer dealership systems, including service dates, mileage, work performed, and service provider details. Suitable for consumer reports and remarketing.
Does Audi have digital service records?
Audi's service records run on the Volkswagen Group dealer management system (ELSA / DISS / Audi Workshop System), shared with VW, Skoda, SEAT and Cupra at the data layer.
What does a Audi service history report show?
For Audi we return full service history from the official dealer system: service date, mileage recorded at the visit, the work performed, and the dealership that carried it out. We also bundle the full DVSA MOT history into the same report at no extra cost.
Will independent garage services appear on my Audi report?
No. Independent garage services do not appear in Audi's manufacturer dealer system. Our report covers Audi franchised dealer records only. If a previous owner used an independent specialist, those visits will be missing here — that's the same gap a Audi dealer would see if you asked them directly.
Can I check Audi service history without owning the vehicle?
Yes. You only need the UK registration of the Audi you're checking. There's no ownership verification step — that's why used-car buyers use the service before paying for a vehicle, to confirm the seller's history claims against the official Audi dealer record.
Why is Audi service history important?
Audi resale value is closely tied to documented Audi dealer history — particularly for the A3, A4, and Q5 which dominate the used premium market.
Can I check Audi service history for free?
Audi's own dealer network can sometimes print service history for you if you visit a branch in person with ownership documents — that's the free route, but it requires a dealer trip and you usually need to be the current owner. There is no public Audi portal that returns the full dealer service record. Our £9.99 lookup runs the same dealer-system query instantly with just the UK registration. Card is authorised but not charged unless records are found.
Does Audi keep digital service records?
Yes. Audi maintains comprehensive digital service records across all UK franchised dealerships through the VW Group dealer system. Every service visit, including dates, mileage, schedule type (Longlife or Fixed) and line items, is logged electronically.
Can I check Audi service history by registration?
Yes. Enter your Audi's registration number and we will retrieve the full official service history from Audi's manufacturer system, including all franchised dealer visits, recall work, and warranty repairs.
What Audi models are covered?
All Audi models serviced at franchised UK dealerships are covered, including A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q2, Q3, Q4 e-tron, Q5, Q7, Q8, TT, R8, e-tron, e-tron GT, and all RS / S performance models.
What's the difference between Longlife and Fixed servicing?
Longlife servicing uses an oil-quality sensor and stretches services to up to 18,000-19,000 miles or 2 years. Fixed servicing is a hard 9,000-10,000 mile / 12-month cap. Both are valid — but you need to know which schedule was used to interpret the service-interval pattern in the record correctly.
Does the myAudi app show all dealer service records?
No. The myAudi app shows a customer-facing summary of recent services for newer cars. Older entries, recall work, and warranty repairs may not appear in the app even when they're in the dealer system. A dealer-system lookup is the authoritative record.
Why does quattro service history matter especially?
Audi quattro models use a Haldex coupling that needs an oil change every 38,000 miles (~3 years). It's the single most-skipped Audi service item at independents. Dealer records will show whether this has been done correctly — without it, the Haldex coupling can fail at expense.
Does Audi service history pass to a new owner automatically?
Yes. The service record is held against the VIN by Audi UK / the VW Group, not against the customer. When ownership transfers, the new owner can access the same dealer history through any franchised Audi dealer or via a service like this one.
How does service history affect Audi resale value?
Audi resale value is sensitive to documented Full Service History, particularly on the A4, A6 and Q5. A stamped-up FSH typically adds 10-15% to trade-in value over partial-history equivalents. For high-mileage TDI diesels in particular, dealer history is the strongest signal of good engine and DPF care.
